Check with any of the major rental car companies listed in your yellow pages…even if you don’t call them, but look them up on the web, the yellow pages will at least tell you what companies you have in your area. No need to look up Thrifty Rent-A-Car, if they don’t have a location near you!

Just remember, some companies have very interesting labels they put on their cars. For example, a Taurus might be a full size car at National, but at Hertz it might be a mid-size car and the Crown Vic a full size…you just want to make sure you compare apples-to-apples.

Check out vans as well and compare them to a car. If you can rent a full size van, you’ll be a lot more comfortable than in a full size car, and will be able to carry a lot more “stuff”. A mini-van is just that…mini. While you can put 6-7 people in it, you sure don’t have any room for “stuff” at all.
