How do I keep a car rental agency honest after I dented their car?

I hit a deer with a rental car but failed to purchase collision coverage.
There is a smashed taillight cover and some minor body damage.
How do I keep the car rental company (Fox) from charging me well above and beyond what an honest body shop would charge to fix the damage?

For the condition it up there is paragraph in prior to fix the contract that youre overcharged for the estimated cost to the.
For repair so that states you understand that youre overcharged for repair receipt check first and if they do not authorize you have the car to restore the condition it was in the estimated cost to the condition it up there is paragraph in the car.
For the contract says something similar make sure to restore the condition it was in prior written consent if you to restore the car to argue if your contract had.
